Def Leppard guitarist Steve Clark appeared on a US radio show in 1988 and an audio clip is available.
The band had finished the 14 month 'Hysteria' world tour on 27th October in Tacoma, WA and were just starting work on the follow up.
'Armageddon It' was the current single from the 'Hysteria' album.
Steve appeared briefly during a radio chart show to wish their American fans a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
The single was at Number 12 on both 24th and 31st of December on the Billboard Hot 100.
