DEF LEPPARD's 2018 North American Tour To Be Announced This Week

Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell attended the CES show in Las Vegas and gave an update on the 2018 tour announcement.

Vivian attended the show with Gibson guitars and performed.

A short video has surfaced on YouTube where he was answering questions about the upcoming North American tour.

He says the tour would be announced in a week or so. He was speaking on 10th January and likely hinting at another Thursday tour announcement which would be the 18th.

Last week was one year since the 2017 tour announcement which also happened on a Thursday (12th January 2017) as did the 2015 tour.

Some recent tours have also been announced on Friday (2012). The 2014 tour with KISS was announced on a Monday but with KISS as the headline act.

Rick Allen told an interviewer over the weekend he did not think the tour with Journey would happen. With Journey's Neal Schon saying on 13th January that the announcement would be "coming soon".

Neal is currently playing shows on his own featuring Journey songs and with a band of former members. Journey's own website has not been updated since mid 2017 when they last toured together.

In addition to this Journey drummer Steve Smith mentioned the tour in a recent interview and repeated Joe's news that it would begin in May. He also referenced Journey's tour as being "six months" long.
