When Def Leppard took the stage, the response from the New York audience was tremendous. They kicked off their set with "Let's Go," and it was followed by "Animal" and "Let It Go." Lead singer Joe Elliott and lead guitarist Phil Collen were in top-notch form.

They immediately broke into such hits as "Dangerous," "Foolin'," their No. 1 single "Love Bites," and the fan-favorite "Armageddon It." With "Rock On," they paid homage to the music of David Essex.

This journalist's personal favorite tune is the nostalgic "Hysteria," and they closed their set with "Let's Get Rocked" and their popular hit "Pour Some Sugar On Me," where the entire venue was reciting the lyrics verbatim."
