Slacker Morning Show/101 The Fox - Phil Collen Interview Quotes
Live In Detroit DVD
"Everyone kept coming to us saying this is the best we've ever heard or seen Def Leppard. The show's spectacular and the sound of the band is just great. So that really prompted that and we used Detroit 'cause it was the first show on that tour to sell out. So they got the honour of you like you know 'cause the audience were so crazed and what have you. But yeah no it was amazing."
"And we continue to keep getting better. Joe Elliott's singing better than he ever has done in his life. So that's kind of inspiring. We just keep kind of raising the bar with the production as well you know with the screens and the lights and just the show in general. And with that you know we actually keep improving as a band and as singers and players and everything. It's just amazing."
Recording New Songs/Producing Tesla
"Yeah we're actually, I'm not even sure whether we'll get the time for an album. If not we're just gonna release a song because we've got a couple on the go already. Along with all the other stuff. You know I just finished producing the Tesla album. You know I was writing on that as well. So yeah I'm in a constant state of writing songs. And they're always slightly different. That was slightly different obviously, Def Leppard's something else."
Delta Deep Second Album
"And then for Delta Deep you know, my other band, the blues band. We're actually starting work on our second album. So again we've got like 8 or 9 songs and it's just a matter of finding the time to start recording it. But I think you know if you're constantly writing songs it's great to mix it up a little bit and you know I'm blessed that I get a chance to do it in all these different contexts as well. It keeps it really fresh."
/Touring/Live Album/New Live Single
"We done an East Coast run and a West Coast run. We haven't done a Mid West run or a Deep South one either. So we're promising to do that as well you know so it's a - and I'm really looking forward to it because they were great the way those legs came together on those tours. So yeah we can have a little gap in between. Like a year or something because it doesn't really matter. But yeah we're gonna be promoting the live album when that comes out as well. Which is sometime this year. I think a single from that is gonna probably come out in the next month or so. It's called East Coast Live."
