Def Leppard May Release A Brand Of Rock Star Coffee

Joe Elliott 2016. By Chele Drappel

Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott was apparently the inspiration for a new Germany company called Rock Star Coffee.

RockStarCoffee are based in Germany and have released four brands of coffee so far.

The coffee brands are linked to various artists including Deep Purple, Doro Pesch and Saga.

The Deep Purple coffee is named 'Black Night' after their 1970 single.

According to a news article and short interview with German magazine Rock Hard, the owner Stefan Huber says the idea was inspired by a phone conversation with Joe.

It is also suggested that a Def Leppard brand of the coffee may be in the works but has met with slow progress.

Rock Hard - Article/Interview Quotes

"Joe Elliott and I have been friends for a long time, so he called me to tell me something new, and I thought about an idea in the middle of the conversation, and I asked Joe if he had been drinking coffee Answered: 'Stefan, if you ask such questions, I know exactly, now comes again one of your ideas. So, let's hear!'

Stefan: "We're releasing a DEF LEPPARD coffee!"

Joe: "Coffee ..... why coffee? What has coffee to do with rock 'n roll?"

Stefan kontert: "What is your first album?"

Joe: "On Through The Night, Ok, now I got it, how cool is that?!?!"

And the rest is history, as it is so beautiful. Stefan has therefore put the idea into practice with an expert team. Although the mills for the DEF LEPPARD-Coffee grind slowly, but now other bands have started up the idea and are launching their own Limited Coffee Editions in exclusive designs via RockStarCoffee. You can find all the information on the RockStarCoffee homepage.
