The Beach Reporter - Phil Collen Interview Quotes

2015 UK Tour

"Wembley Arena sold out Friday night. Saturday night we played the Sheffield (Motorpoint) arena, that was sold out … next night we played this club called 229, which there’s about 50 people,’ Collen said. “I used the same guitar as the night before and it wasn’t weird. It was strange to me that it wasn’t strange. It’s such a dramatic difference. Def Leppard at this point of our careers ... it makes Pink Floyd or a 1970s KISS show look pretty tame in comparison."

Steve Clark's Family

"I got to see Steve Clarke’s mum, I phone around Christmas and I see her (and Clark’s brother) when we play Sheffield,” Collen said. “It’s really emotional. It’s for me and it certainly is for her every time I see her."
