The Joe Elliott Show - Quotes

Show Intro

"Evening all and welcome to the Joe Elliott show right here on the very wonderful Planet Rock. It is fantastic to be with you once again. We have sixty minutes of what I consider to be wonderful music lined up for ya tonight. I'm gonna dedicated the show to everybody that queued up last week in the rain and the wind and the hail for Record Store Day. All those people that were there before midnight at shops that weren't gonna open till 9am. There must have been some scary looking people in those queues. This is for you guys."

Def Leppard/Record Store Day

"And I genuinely hope you got what you were looking for after waiting all that time in those said queues. Including maybe you might have actually got the new Def Leppard one because we did do a double vinyl 180 gram picture disc version specially for Record Store Day."

Axl Rose/AC/DC/Guns N' Roses

"I'm sure you've read the news this week which took us all by surprise. And let's keep an open mind, that Axl Rose is, at least temporarily, joining AC/DC. So we may hear him singing this one."

"And just as interesting as hearing Axl singing AC/DC's songs. Which I'm sure as a kid he did in covers bands. But to hear Slash and Duff McKagan playing that song live because they didn't play on the original version. Which is very similar to when I went to seethe Mott The Hoople reunion shows and saw Mick Ralphs playing on The Golden Age Of Rock 'n' Roll and things like Saturday Gigs which he didn't play on either. But he was a willing participant. Let's hope that Slash and Duff were too on that particular song. The song in my opinion the best song by a country mile off the album Chinese Democracy. That is Guns N' Roses with Better."

Show Outro

"And that my friends just about wraps it up for this week. Been a pleasure as always. I shall be back with you god willing at the same time next week. From a secret location somewhere in the States where Def Leppard will be rehearsing for their upcoming US Summer tour."

"So until next week gonna leave you with some classic Bad Company from their third and most brilliant record Running With The Pack. This is Sweet Li'l Sister. Until next week see ya!."
