Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott explained the pre show accident to the crowd at the Wantagh, NY show on 6th August before playing Two Steps Behind.
A truck driver was involved in an accident where his vehicle flipped over in the Bronx area of New York causing damage to stage equipment. Both Def Leppard and KISS had fewer lights than normal and openers the Dead Daisies were cancelled as a result of the incident.
Below is a transcript of Joe's pre-TSB speech.

Joe Elliott - Wantagh Accident Speech
"Before we go any further, just a little something to tell you. Last night on our way here or when the gear was on its way here one of our trucks overturned. And we lost most of the lights. The good news is that the driver's OK. He's gonna be all right. The lights however got a bit of a battering. And I'd like you all out there from this front row all the way to the back to make a lot of noise for the road crew from both bands Def Leppard and KISS for somehow putting this thing together and making it look half decent. We scrabbled a few local lights and this is what we've got so. Forgive us if it's not what it is normally. God bless the crew for at least getting the gig on which is the most important thing."
