Part two of the Rockpages interview with former Def Leppard producer Pete Woodroffe has been uploaded. Pete talks in detail about his time working with the band during the making of the 'Slang', 'Euphoria' and 'X' albums and what he has done since that time. He also gives an insight into recording sessions and the production of certain songs.
Rockpages - Pete Woodrofee Interview Quote
Personally, I believe that "X" is a typically sounding Def Leppard record only with a pop production. What do you think?
The idea was for the band to co-write with various people (Marty Frederickson and Andreas Carlsson) and even cut songs that came from outside ("Long, Long Way to Go"). This did make the album seem more pop - even though it had some great rock tracks.
This is part two of a two part interview. Read it below via the links. 20 interviews in all will be published over the next few months. The next one will feature Stevie Vann Lange. Many thanks to Sakis Nikas.
