Biloxi, MS - Fan Reviews

Fan Review - By Linda Byles

What can I say about a concert at Biloxi--a place still coming back from a horrific hurricane that wiped so much away. Maybe another hurricane coming in called Def Leppard. They opened with Joan Jett which was a nice little tropical storm, but then the winds began to roar. the waves began to curl and in came the band, Our Boys-- the crowd went wild. Their effect was enormous. The crowd wanted more and the band wanted to please. At one point, someone in the audience asked Joe about his age and Joe said, with a laugh, " What do you mean? I'm only 49!" Sav, who I've always been a bit keen on, would look my way everytime he came by, which made me quite giddy and gave me a sweet memory to last forever. I can also say that about the whole concert--the memory continues to linger. Anyway, anywho and anyhow, he night in Biloxi counts as the highest in my WOW factor.

Fan Review - By Ryan (Pyromaniac24)

I had a blast at the Def Leppard show @ Biloxi! It was so amazing!

First up was Joan Jett & the Blackhearts. Joan really really impressed me. She rocked an the crowd really responded well to her. She played: Cherry Bomb Bad Reputation {we missed these first two for the idiot security guard...} A couple of new songs off of "Sinner", Your Gonna Make It After All (?) {Mary Tyler Moore Theme}, AC/DC (the low point of her set for me), I Love Rock and Roll, Crimson and Clover, I Hate Myself For Loving You.

Then it was Def Leppard!!! The screen flashed up pics throughout their career. Then a voice said "That Was Then, This Is Now". The Crowd goes nuts as Sav appears on stage and the rest of Def Lepp comes on. They opened with Rocket, Then went into a roaring rendition of Animal. The crowd was pumped as they went into the new Single "C'mon C'mon". Then it was my personal favorite, Foolin'. After that, Joe said that they would "play one from 1981, a time when Vivian Campbell played for another band (which is Whitesnake if you didn't know)They Launched into Mirror Mirror (Look Into My Eyes) Which went down very well for us Hardcore fans.

Nine Lives followed and kept the crowd wild. Love Bites sent chills down my spine although, I was sweating "from my head to my feets, yea!" :P after an extended solo, The two guitarist and Joe (lead vocals) left the stage, leaving Rick Savage (bass) and Rick Allen (drums) on stage alone. Sav launched into a coooooll bass solo, and that segwayed into the awesome cover of Rock On. After that riot, Phil, Viv, (Guitars) and Joe grabbed acoustic guitars and played Two Steps Behind. After that they played Crowd Favorite, Bringin' On The Heartbreak. This was amazing the first two verses and Chorus where acoustic. Joe, Phil and Viv played the first verse, then the crowd sang the chorus (It was magical), Then Phil and Viv left Joe to sing the second verse and chorus alone. The lights went down and Joe threw his guitar to a roadie and both guitarist ripped an electric solo. (The high Point!!!!)

The band as a whole played the outro chorus. It was breath taking.... but the best was yet to come. Sav kept the steady bass line that is the outro to "BOTH" which means only one thing and my dream was realized as Phil played the opening riff to SWITCH 625, the rare instrumental Gem that Steve Clark (RIP) wrote. It was sensational and I was going nuts!!!!! Then it was on to the hits Hysteria, Armageddon It, Pour Some Sugar On Me, and Rock of Ages. By this time my pitiful voice is shot.

They leave and then come back for the encore Joe says "We ain't finish yet!" and they launch into a new song "Bad Actress" Which went down amazing. Then the grand finale was Let's Get Rocked. Joe said They "were definitely coming back to Biloxi and If You don't forget us, we won't forget you" I was totally blown away.
