Camden, NJ - Fan Reviews
Fan Review - By Maria
Despite the show being cancelled, Def Leppard did manage to come into the sky box where the soundcheck winners were held and play a little for us, due to the severe weather outside. While listening to them play bit and peices of songs shouted out by the people, the doors blew open and rain started to pour into the room! About 3 feet in front of the guys, a huge puddle started to form from the rain coming down and into the area. While we were in there, we were not able to see the stage at all and we were not far from it! It was that bad! Turns out part of the roof of the stage had collapsed damaging some equipment. From what the guys said afterwards at the buses, Lancaster is a go. Quite possible it will be rescheduled soon.
Some of the songs played, but certainly not all, PSSOM, Hysteria, Wasted and a few others. All were not in their entirety. But I will say that was one of the best experiences of my life. To be that close and to have them singing to us directly and asking us what to play! Joe did not sing much due to Malvin stating that his voice was very raw and his throat was very sore from Live 8 rehearsals, that did not go well to begin with. Joe's struggling and trying to hold onto what he has now. So in a way, it is good that Joe gets this additional night. Now if he would just get the hell off the phone and stop chatting so damned much with people!.
