Show Intro

"Evening all and welcome once again to the Joe Elliott Show, right here on the wonderful Planet Rock. Great to be with you again as always, I've got 60 short minutes, one solid hour to play you some very cool music tonight, bit of everything really. We're going to start off with Mick Jagger featuring Dave Grohl."

Mick Jagger/Dave Grohl

"You know it was only earlier this week that I noticed a similarity between the song that we just heard and a track from the latest Stones album Hackney Diamonds called Bite My Head Off. So in recent times Mick Jagger's really been getting his punk on, good for him. It is featuring Dave Grohl on rhythm guitar and drums, it's Mick Jagger with Easy Sleazy."

Joan Jett And The Blackhearts

"Right doing her bit for the ladies, this is Joan Jett And The Blackhearts."

"And before that a song that featured originally on the same album, this time recorded by Joan Jett And The Blackhearts from her album Sinner, we heard the song A.C.D.C."

The Sweet

"That is Sweet from back in 1974 from the album Sweet Fanny Adams. The track we heard the opening song, Set Me Free, wonderful bit of work."

AC/DC

"And you know where this is going don't you?."

"And before that AC/DC from one of the greatest albums they ever made, Powerage, the song we heard Down Payment Blues."

The Kinks

"Yes many many years after they formed they were still banging out some great tunes, that is The Kinks from about 1983 I think it was, the album is Word of Mouth, the song we heard Do It Again."

"You are listening to the Joe Elliott Show right here on the wonderful Planet Rock, coming up 10 or so minutes of what can only be described as complete..."

Split Enz

"And before that Split Ends from their 1976 album Mental Notes produced by Phil Manzanera from Roxy Music, the song that we heard Stranger Than Fiction."

Marizane

"I discovered that band when I got to know the lady who was playing keyboards for Heart when they opened for us about 12 years ago, her name is Debbie Cher and her real job when she wasn't playing with Heart was to play keyboards in a band called Marizane who we just heard from an EP called Stage One produced by Tony Visconti of David Bowie, T-Rex, Thin Lizzy fame, the song we heard Of The Alien Christ."

Dixon House Band

"Now occasionally I play a song that I know in my heart that me and maybe six other people ever heard and those six people send me emails going, I can't believe you played that song. This tune that I'm going to play, I have played before but this is one of those songs, got more response than most anything I've ever played. So I thought just for those six people out there in the UK somewhere, just wondering if they'd ever hear this song on the radio again, here it is. This is the Dixon House Band."

"And before that the Dixon House Band for you half dozen people that heard it when I did on radio whatever in 1979. It is from the album Fighting Alone, the song we heard Sooner Or Later."

Von Hertzen Brothers

"They've just released a live album that I cannot wait to get my teeth into but for now let's just hear them in the studio. That is the Von Hertzen Brothers, absolutely love their work, title track of the album New Day Rising."

Show Outro

"And that my friends is about it for this week, been a real pleasure as always. I shall be back with you next week at exactly the same time so don't go anywhere."

"Until then, well we started off in a kind of a punky attitude, let's go out with one. Here is The Sex Pistols with E.M.I. Until next week, see ya!."
