Show Intro

"Evening all welcome once again to The Joe Elliott Show right here on the wonderful Planet Rock. Coming to you once again this week all the way from sunny California. And as I look out of my windows I realise I just told you a big fat lie because it's actually overcast here today in LA. But it's something I wouldn't normally notice because Camp Leppard are ensconced in a rehearsal room in the Valley which is a windowless warehouse. It's a very soulless place but the noise that we're making is pretty authentic and it's sounding great firing back up with the guys again after two and a half years off. What have we got tonight for ya tonight more importantly. Some fantastic music. And of course with the Diamond Star Halos coming out next Friday I just have to start the shows with this particular tune."

Def Leppard

"Yep May 27th folk. The new Leppard album is out. It is called Diamond Star Halos. We just the opening track written by myself and Mr. Rick Savage. It is Take What You Want."

Motley Crue

"Now we're in Los Angeles because we're rehearsing for The Stadium Tour 2022. Originally scheduled for 2020 and then rescheduled for 2021. And then rescheduled once again. But this time it's actually happening. And we're going out with Joan Jett And The Blackhearts. We're going out with Poison. And we're going out with this crowd. This is Motley Crue."

"And before that we heard Motley Crue from that album that is Dr. Feelgood. In fact we heard the title track."

Judas Priest

"If you were tuned into my show last week you'll have maybe heard me ranting on about the fact that Kate Bush didn't make the cut for this year's Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductees. Which really peeved me and Rick Savage off quite a bit actually. But we were very happy that the band that we just heard got nominated and got accepted. They are gonna be inducted. They are Judas Priest who Def Leppard toured with 42 years ago in the States. There from the Screaming For Vengeance album we just heard the classic You Got Another Thing Coming."

Motor Sister

"Well we've had a very rocking start to this particular show haven't we. So let's keep it up shall we. This is brand new Motor Sister."

"And before that Motor Sister. A band that you've heard me raving on about before featuring Scott Ian from Anthrax. Pearla Day daughter of Meatloaf on co-lead vocals. And the very wonderfully talented Mr. Jim Wilson lead vocals and guitar. The album, brand new album, is called Get Off. The song that we just heard Sooner Or Later."

Be Bop Deluxe

"From that masterpiece of an album that is Sunburst Finish. In fact that is the 2018 stereo remix of Blazing Apostles. The band of course is Be Bop Deluxe."

"You are listening to The Joe Elliott Show right here on the wonderful Planet Rock. Coming up we're gonna be Dancing The Night Away with The Motors."

The Motors

"Before that we heard The Motors from the album of the same name. Very crackly version. It was actually taken from my original vinyl copy 'cause I couldn't find it on CD any where. The song is, once covered by Cheap Trick as well by the way, Dancing The Night Away."

Sparks

"Superb stuff there from Sparks. The mighty Sparks when they were an absolutely full on rock band. The album is Kimono My House. Came out in 1974. The song we heard Thank God It's Not Christmas. Indeed. Indeed."

New York Dolls

"Right them time for a little bit of East Coast sleaze. This is the New York Dolls."

"And before that the New York Dolls from their eponymously titled debut album with a fantastic bit of work called Jetboy."

Silverchair

"Hailing all the way from Australia that is in fact Silverchair. It is the title track of their E.P. The Greatest View. And what a track it is too."

Show Outro

"And that my friends, all the way from Los Angeles in California, is about it for this week. It's been a real pleasure as always. I shall be back with you next week from exactly the same place. At exactly the same time funnily enough."

"Until then I'm going to leave you with this. Originally recorded for the BBC. In fact for a John Peel session. This as a bonus track these days can be found on News Of The World. There's your clue. It is Queen. With the fast version. And it is rapid. Of We Will Rock You. Until next week see ya!."
