DEF LEPPARD To Receive Hollywood WALK OF FAME Honour

Def Leppard 2023

Def Leppard have been announced today to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame in Los Angeles in 2024.

The new album Drastic Symphonies was released on Friday 19th May.

The album features 16 classic Def Leppard songs reworked and reimagined with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios in London.

The first single 'Animal' was released to digital and streaming services on the same day as the announcement.

Hollywood Walk Of Fame

Earlier today the 2024 honourees for the Hollywood Walk Of Fame were announced.

Def Leppard are among them and they will receive a star on the famous Walk of Fsme on Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street in Los Angeles in 2024.

Band friend and former Van Halen singer Sammy Hagar will also get a star.

The band of course played their first major UK tour with him in September 1979.

There are currently over 2,700 stars on the Walk Of Fame.

RockWalk 2000

On 5th September 2000 the band received their star on the Guitar Center RockWalk.

That honour saw them place handprints outside the guitar center where Brian May inducted them with a moving speech.

Motley Crue

Tour mates Motley Crue received their Walk Of Fame star in January 2006 shortly after the original line up had reformed.

HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME CLASS OF 2024 ANNOUNCED BY WALK OF FAME CHAIR ELLEN K

A new group of entertainment professionals in the categories of Motion Pictures, Television, Live Theatre/Live Performance, Radio, Recording, and Sports Entertainment have been selected to receive stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame by the Walk of Fame Selection Panel of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. These honorees were chosen from among hundreds of nominations to the committee at a meeting held on June 16, 2023 and ratified by the Hollywood Chamber’s Board of Directors on June 21, 2023. Steve Nissen, President and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and Ellen K, Chair of the Walk of Fame Selection Panel and Radio personality, announced the new honorees.

In the category of RECORDING: Glen Ballard, Toni Braxton, Def Leppard, Charles Fox, Sammy Hagar, Brandy Norwood, Darius Rucker, Gwen Stefani, and Andre ‘Dr. Dre’ Young.
