DEF LEPPARD's RICK ALLEN Schedules New Art Show In ATLANTIC CITY, NJ For February

Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen has scheduled a new art event in Atlantic City, NJ for this February.

A new art event has been scheduled for this February in the same city where Def Leppard play two shows.

As announced in November 2022 Def Leppard will kick off their public touring with two shows in the city on 10th/11th February with Motley Crue.

The shows take place at the Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena venue.

Rick's art event takes place on the afternoon of the second show on 11th February within the Wentworth Gallery in the same Hard Rock Hotel & Casino complex.

Many of his great paintings will be displayed including Tom Petty, Neil Peart, Prince, Kurt Cobain, Johnny Cash and Eddie Van Halen.

Rick recently shared his latest Steve Clark painting from a live Hysteria tour image on the 32nd anniversary of his death in 8th January.

Legends And Dreams Artwork Series/David Bowie

"The Legends series, you know. I started out with Steve Clark which was a good place to start seeing as, you know, he was my best friend. And then I moved on to John Lennon and Jimi Hendrix and I've just completed a David Bowie. They're kind of the more recent pieces. A lot of the other pieces. The Union Jacks, the Stars and Stripes, the Telephone boxes, girl on a swing. And there's a bunch of pieces that have been there for quite a while. And of course Wentworth they've got tons of galleries so they wanted me to put artwork in every gallery. So yeah it took me a while to get enough pieces...been on a roll."

"Ever since I was a kid and then I discovered music. So I put more of my time into music and photography. And then when my youngest daughter was born. She's around somewhere, the girl on a swing over there. She inspired me to start painting again 'cause, you know, she's just right in the moment. No rules she just goes about it and it's kind of a similar place to where I go when I play music. So it's like you know what I could apply that to painting."
