Def Leppard another show on The World Tour 2023 last night in Glasgow, Scotland with 17 songs performed.

The show took place at the 50,000 capacity Glasgow Green.

The first show in this city since December 2018.

The first appearance at this venue.

More rain?.

Glasgow In the Rain

Wolfgang Van Halen - "Glasgow. Let's get moist!.".

How the show started but the rain had already started even before Mammoth WVH began their opening set.

And the rain kept falling on the crowd throughout the show.

Even worse than the Dublin show.

In fact it will probably be mentioned by the band in future interviews the same way Mannheim 1986 used to be before being joined in 2022 by Atlanta.

As the locals would say it was - "pissing it down" for the entire show and continued even for all of Motley Crue's closing set.

Like a repeat of the start of The Stadium Tour.

First Outdoor Show In Scotland

Not just the first outdoor show in Glasgow, this was also in the band's first time outdoors in Scotland as a whole.

Outdoor Festival Stage

Glasgow Green hosts an annual festival called TRNSMT which takes place on 7th/8th July.

The band used the same staging which had the purple colours on either side of the stage ready for the festival.

Another smaller single video screen at the back behind Rick.

Luckily for the festival today is sunny, tomorrow looks bad but probably won't be quite as bad as the rain they had to deal with last night.

Sav decided to slick back his hair making it look like he was already soaked before he arrived on stage.

Last Night Of The Tour

The UK/European tour started back in Sheffield on 22nd May and after 17 countries and 21 shows it is now over.

22 shows for both headline bands with The Leadmill show for Def Leppard and Motley Crue's own solo show at The Underworld in Camden/London.

(Not quite) a 50,000 capacity crowd showed up to witness the final night.

In fact it looked considerably less than even the 22,500 who were at the Lythem show.

The reason for the move from the massive Hampden Park was obvious to see.

But the fans enjoyed the show despite the rain.

Some even taking photos and video clips from the huge big wheel on the festival grounds.

The stage also facing the huge obelisk known as Nelson Monument standing at 144 feet tall.

17 Song Setlist

The same 17 song setlist played once more.

All three 'Diamond Star Halos' songs played in Glasgow for the first time.

Glasgow History

The first visit here was in October 1979 for two shows supporting AC/DC at the Apollo Theatre.

The first headline show took place in January 1980 at Tiffany's before a second show at the Apollo Theatre on the April 1980 UK headline tour.

It would be 12 years before they returned for an In The Round show at the SECC complex in June 1992 during the Adrenalize tour after many years of visits to Edinburgh including the original Hysteria tour.

The next two shows at the SECC took place in November 1996 on the Slang tour and October 1999 on the Euphoria tour.

February 2003 saw the band play at the legendary Barrowlands Ballroom on the X/Ten tour.

It was then back to the SECC for two shows in June 2008 on the Sparkle Lounge tour and December 2011 on the Mirrorball tour.

The SSE Hydro was then played for the first time in December 2015.

was played once more on the Hysteria & More tour in December 2018.

Last night's show was the 13th overall performance in Glasgow.

The next Def Leppard show takes place in Syracuse, NY on 5th August as the tour moves back indoors.
