Def Leppard played the final show of their Mirrorball world tour in London, England on this day in 2011 and photos/video are available.

The show took place at the legendary Wembley Arena.

The first time at this venue since a show on the Sparkle Lounge tour in June 2008.

The seventh headline show by the band at the venue since the first visit in April 1988 when they played two nights here in the Hysteria tour.

Video footage from this show is available via the links plus fan photos on the show page.

The tour had started in Belfast, Northern Ireland at the Odyssey Arena on 7th June.

The first of 68 shows played in 9 countries over 7 months. The first worldwide trek since 2008.

The show started with 'Undefeated' featuring an extended album intro as the band's faces flew out at the audience on the video screens.

In a change from the last three tours seven large vertical video screens were hung behind the band with two more either side of Rick's drum kit.

The screens did not show any live footage on them during the tour. The band wanted to do something different so various video content was shown instead. News and sports footage were used to illustrate 'Undefeated' as well as headlines about Rick's accident and comeback. Live footage was only shown on the two side projectors screens.

Following the first show in Belfast and one in Dublin the band headlined the Download Festival for the second time. Another US/Canadian tour took place from mid June to late September.

They then headed back to Australia/New Zealand for 8 shows and a short 3 show trip to Japan. These Japanese shows featured 22 song setlists and many rarities were played.

The tour ended back home in the UK with six more shows alongside Motley Crue and Steel Panther.

The last two shows taking place in Sheffield and finally a sold out show at Wembley Arena in London.

The 17 song setlist on this final night saw the band include the rarely played 'C'mon C'mon' and 'Women'.

Joe Elliott - Phil Collen/Let It Go Intro

"Thank you and once again good evening Wembley, London. And all that have travelled to be here tonight. How ya doing?. I'd like to introduce you to one of your very own. From Walthamstow in the East End. Do what John?. Mr. Phil Collen.."

"Something from the High 'n' Dry album for ya. It's the last night of the tour. So we'd like to. We'd like to have something to remember it by right. Let's see if we can get you guys to be louder than Birmingham. Louder than Nottingham. Louder than Glasgow. Louder than Manchester and louder than Sheffield. Come on London. ."

Joe Elliott - Two Steps Behind Intro

"Thank you. Thank you very much. Last night of the tour. Last night of the UK tour. Last night of the entire world tour. This is the very last show of 2011. It started back in June in Belfast and then Dublin and then Download and we've been everywhere just about since but it's good to come back to our home country. Bring the full production. This is what they see everywhere else. You know a lot of people short change you when they come here. They don't bring everything but we brought it all so you can see what everybody else in the world sees. Because we're English and we're Irish and we love ya and we love coming back. And we will always come back here as long as there's people out there like you guys."

"We go back a long way you and I. But I think rightly 1979. September '79 we played the Hammersmith Odeon. Which will always be the Hammersmith Odeon. What's this Labbatt's Apollo bullshit?. With Sammy Hagar and then four nights with AC/DC on the Highway To Hell tour. Can you believe a 15 year old Rick Allen started his maturity into an adult by having is 16th birthday on stage at Hammersmith. How f**king cool is that?. Of course we were all about the same age."

"But this is the part of the evening - oh by the way, before we go any further. Make a lot of noise will ya for Steel Panther. We love those guys. You know who else we love Motley Crue. And it's been an absolute pleasure playing with both of them. Both bands. But it'll be a bigger pleasure for us if you do us the great honour right now of joining this band for about ten minutes. Do you fancy doing that?. You can tell all your friends tomorrow that you were actually in Def Leppard for like ten minutes. How's that?. That sound like a good idea?. All you gotta do is if you know the words to these next couple of songs. Just sing them right back at us alright?. Alright?!. Two Steps Behind."

Joe Elliott - After PSSOM

"London. Goodnight."

Joe Elliott - End Of Show Speech

"Wembley, London. And all those who have travelled to be here tonight. What a great way to finish the tour. Thank you very much. Thanks for having us, thanks for coming, thanks for being here."

"Until next time. And there will be a next time. Do us a favour yeah. Don't forget us and we won't forget you. Goodnight. Merry Christmas!."
