BANK OF DAVE 2 FT. DEF LEPPARD Completes Filming In BURNLEY/LEEDS

Def Leppard appear in a new set photo from the now completed Bank Of Dave The Sequel movie filmed in Burnley and Leeds.

The 'Bank Of Dave' movie was released in January 2023 in the UK and featured Def Leppard in a major end of film concert sequence.

'Bank Of Dave' is based on the life of businessman Dave Fishwick from Burnley and the opening of his bank Burnley Savings & Loans Ltd.

It featured Rory Kinnear playing the role of Dave.

Tempo Productions recently posted a new end of filming/cast photo on their website and social media which has since been reposted by the band.

Similar to a photo posted in April 2022 from the set of the first film at a studio in Wakefield, England.

According to IMDB filming for this second movie was done between 25th February and 26th March.

And shot in Burnley, Leeds and Huddersfield.

The movie synopsis also mentions part of the story will take place in the USA.

Leeds First Direct Arena(?)

Closer inspection of this photo seems to reveal it was taken on the seating at the First Direct Arena venue in Leeds, England.

A venue opened in 2013 and not yet played by Def Leppard likely due to its closeness to Sheffield.

There are no arena venues in Burnley itself.

21st March Filming Date

The first photo from the set posted by the band was uploaded on 21st March and taken at The Talbot pub in Burnley.

In this new photo Joe is holding a traditional Clapperboard which has the date 21st March 2024 on it.

This suggests the Leeds footage (if they did film here) was on this date and The Talbot footage shot on a different day.

We'll likely have to wait until the behind the scenes video is released to find out more which last time was posted very close to the release date of the movie.

Rick Savage recently commented on the filming in a new post on Instagram.

The band's manager and tour manager are seen on the row behind them with both Rory Kinnear and Dave Fishwick (and many other stars of the film) two rows behind them.

Bank Of Dave The Sequel/2025

'Bank Of Dave 2' was first announced in April 2023 and will be released on Netflix in 2025.

The film is currently titled 'Bank of Dave: The Sequel'.

On 14th March Netflix and Tempo Productions both announced more film details and new cast members.

Def Leppard were mentioned in the press release as cast members and then mentioned by Dave Fishwick himself in the teaser video.
