The venue is located in the downtown area of the city centre not far from the CenturyLink Center Omaha arena and close to the Missouri River .

It was opened in April 2011 and mostly used for baseball.

The venue was home to the Red Sky Music Festival which was held for only two years in July 2011 and July 2012.

Def Leppard's previous appearance here was at the 2012 event.

Another show on The World Tour 2023 with Motley Crue closing.
