DEF LEPPARD 2018 HYSTERIA Tour In NAGOYA, JAPAN (Show Report)

Def Leppard played another show on the 2018 Hysteria tour earlier today in Nagoya, Japan with 17 songs performed.

The show took place at the 1,864 capacity Zepp Nagoya.

The third of three Japanese shows on the 'Hysteria & More' section of the 2018 world tour. The concert ended within the last few hours and was played at 7:15pm local time (JST).

The band's first time in Nagoya since 12th November 2015 during the World Tour 2015.

The 7th appearance by the band in this city and second time at this venue.

The first visit to the city was in May 1988 on the Hysteria tour at Shi Kokaido/Century Hall.

Shi Kokaido/Century Hall was then played again in June 1996 on the Slang tour.

They would return in September 1999 during the Euphoria tour for a show at Shimin Kaikan. Notable for being the first show to have 'Make Love Like A Man' as the last song played during the encore. The only other time being the following show in Osaka on the same tour.

The next visit took place in November 2002 during the X/Ten tour at the Aichi Kinro Kaikan. A 21 song setlist featuring a rare playing of 'Ring Of Fire'.

After a six year break from Japan Nagoya was included on their next visit in October 2008 during the Songs From The Sparkle Lounge tour with Whitesnake at Nippon Gaishi Hall. With a 10,000 capacity this was the largest venue played in the city.

The Zepp Nagoya was played for the first time during the last visit in November 2015 and featured a 19 song setlist. This was also the show where 'Dangerous' was played for the very first time.

That show also featured another first in 'Switch 265' being played after 'When Love & Hate Collide' and the first time it had been played without 'Bringin' On The Heartbreak' preceding it.

Setlist/Staging

The 'Hysteria' album was played in full for the very first time in Nagoya.

'Don't shoot Shotgun', 'Run Riot', 'Excitable' and 'Love And Affection' were all played for the first time in Nagoya.

The full Hysteria album was followed by 5 more once again. This time 'Wasted' was played in place of 'Action' and made its 2018 tour debut.

Another smaller venue with the same stage setup as in Osaka.

Once again the show started at 7:15pm local time.
