Def Leppard played another show on the 2018 Hysteria tour earlier today in Osaka, Japan with 17 songs performed.

The show took place at the 2,513 capacity Zepp Namba.

The second of three Japanese shows on the 'Hysteria & More' section of the 2018 world tour. The concert ended within the last few hours and was played at 7:15pm local time (JST).

The band's first time in Osaka since 10th November 2015 during the World Tour 2015.

The 12th appearance by the band in this city and first time at this venue.

The first visit to the city was in January 1984 on the Pyromania tour at Kosei Nenkin Kaikan (Festival Hall).

The returned to Osaka in May 1988 with a Hysteria tour for two shows at the same venue.

In June 1993 they played for the first time at the 15,000 capacity Castle Hall on the Adrenalize tour.

Castle Hall was then played again in June 1996 on the Slang tour.

In September 1999 on the Euphoria tour the band would return for two nights at Kosei Nenkin Kaikan.

A single night at that venue then followed in November 2002 on the X/Ten tour.

Castle Hall was played once more in October 2008 on the Songs From The Sparkle Lounge tour with Whitesnake.

In November 2011 a Mirrorball concert took place at Grand Cube.

They would then play the Orix Theater for the first time in November 2015.

Setlist/Staging

The 'Hysteria' album was played in full for the very first time in Japan. 'Run Riot', 'Excitable' and 'Love And Affection' were all played for the first time in Japan and in Osaka.

'Don't Shoot Shotgun' had been played in Osaka in 1988.

The full Hysteria album was followed by 5 more songs making 17 in all once again. This time 'Action' was played in place of 'Let It Go' suggesting a rotating spot after the album ends that might continue through this leg and into December.

The small venue meant the usual large production was scaled down as it has been in 2015. No video screens were used. Rick had a different drum riser and there were real amps either side of it plus a much smaller lighting rig. This was essentially a club show for the band. View some photos below and more in the Media Links section on the show page.

The lack of video screens meant the usual intro for Steve Clark before 'Gods Of War' could not be used at this show.

Unlike the Budokan show in Tokyo which had seating on the floor this venue had a Standing/General Admission setup.

Although scheduled for a 7pm start this show, like Tokyo, started at 7:15pm.
