Show Intro

"Evening all and welcome once again to the Joe Elliott show right here on the wonderful Planet Rock. Which this week comes to you all the way from Fargo in North Dakota. Maybe you've seen the movie, maybe you've seen the TV series. Let's hope for the next little while that what happens in fiction doesn't happen in fact. What is a great fact though is for the next sixty minutes we have some great music. Starting off with this crowd who opened the show last night at Target Field in Minneapolis. They dream of police. They are Cheap Trick."

Cheap Trick

"I love them so much. I've never seen them play a bad gig and I don't think they've really made a bad album. I am absolutely their biggest fan. They are Cheap Trick and there they are from 1979 with the title track of their album Dream Police."

The Small Faces

"Now here's a band who's leader was so special it took two people to replace him. This is The Small Faces."

"And before that we heard The Small Faces who when faced with the amazing challenge of replacing Steve Marriott who would leave to join Humble Pie. Had to get two people to replace him. Those two people being Ronnie Wood and Rod Stewart. They would change their name to The Faces. But that is The Small Faces from their Absolutely The Best with Tin Soldier."

Thin Lizzy

"It's hard to believe but that actually came out only seven months after their massive breakthrough with Jailbreak. That is Thin Lizzy from the album Johnny The Fox in 1976 with Massacre."

Roger Daltrey

"So from one sixties legend to another. But this is brand new. This is Roger Daltrey."

"And before that brand new Roger Daltrey from his album As Long As I Have You. The song Get On Out Of The Rain."

Jim Wilson

"Lovely funky stuff there from the amazing Jim Wilson. His brand new album is called Now Playing. The song we just heard there Energy."

"You are listening to the Joe Elliott show on the mighty Planet Rock. Which this week is coming to you all the way from Fargo in North Dakota. Time for a little break and when we come back, it's gonna be long, it's gonna be windy and it's gonna be wuthering. It's gonna be Genesis."

Genesis

"And before that the band that he left to go solo from Genesis. From the album Wind And Wuthering with the Eleventh Earl Of Mar."

Peter Gabriel

"If I had my way I'd probably play that song every week 'cause I think it's that good. From his debut solo album back in 1977 that is Peter Gabriel. The album is called Peter Gabriel. Like was the follow up album, the third album, the fourth album. Maybe the fifth album, they were all called Peter Gabriel. But that's the first Peter Gabriel album if you like. The song Modern Love."

Jeff Beck

"Right here's a couple of live bits of work by sixties legends proving without a shadow of a doubt that they still have what it takes. With guest vocals by Steven Tyler this is Jeff Beck."

"And before that we heard Jeff Beck live from the Hollywood Bowl in 2017 featuring Steven Tyler from Aerosmith on lead vocals. The song, the old Yardbirds classic, Shapes Of Things."

Paul Rodgers

"I am really digging this new Paul Rodgers live set. It is called Free Spirit. The song we just heard the classic Travellin' In Style."

Sensational Alex Harvery Band

"Right what's next?. Or should I say N.E.X.T. Who else? The Sensational Alex Harvery Band."

"And before that from 1973 the album Next. The Unmistakable sound of the Sensational Alex Harvey Band with The Faith Healer."

Steve Miller Band

"From their Ultimate Hits collection that is the Steve Miller Band with Jet Airliner."

Show Outro

"And that my friends, on the eve of the last DL show for a couple of weeks here in Fargo, North Dakota, is about it. I shall be back with you next week at exactly the same time from home."

"So I'm gonna take advantage of Steve Miller's Jet Airliner and leg it. And what better way to finish the show than with this one. It is from their Feel The Noise Greatest Hits collection. It is Slade and Take Me Bak 'ome. Until next week see ya!."
