Luc Anthony/Greatest Hits 98.1 - Phil Collen Interview Quotes

Songs He'd Want To Put In The Setlist/2018 Tour

"Yeah it'd be totally for the fans. We, a couple of years ago, we put on Paper Sun. We hadn't played that for a long time you know off the Euphoria album. But when we released the new Def Leppard self-titled record that space kind of, it got bumped. We had to put a new song in there. So a lot of the time you know we'll probably do that next year. We'll probably choose a song that we haven't played for a while and put it in the set because we're not promoting a new record. You have to be - walk a very, you know it's a very slim line of what you - obviously you have to play Pour Some Sugar On Me, Love Bites, Hysteria, Let's Get Rocked, Photograph and stuff like that. But it's nice to put you know a deep cut in there but then again you gotta play the new stuff as well. So it's a tricky one but yeah it's a nice problem to have."

Def Leppard's Future Plans/2018 Tour/New Music

"We're gonna be touring, we're doing a world tour next year. There will be some new Def Leppard music. We've actually just already started. I've got some ideas. Rick Savage sent me a really great idea for a song that he has about two weeks ago. So yeah the process has started. Yeah we are gonna be doing new Def Leppard music. I don't know whether it'll be an album or - probably not in that brief amount of time but they'll definitely be new music. Whether it's a song, an EP, or something that turns up in a movie or something, but for sure we'll have some new stuff as well."

"You know I constantly write. As soon as I get, not even off this tour, but a break in the tour, you know I'll start recording some Delta Deep stuff. And then the live album which is called East Coast Live will be out at some point soon. I've been saying that. I thought it was gonna be out at the end of last year. Everything being the way it is, again time kind of races away and all of a sudden you're doing something else. So that will come out. It's all ready to go."
