Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen has been interviewed by Downtown Magazine NYC and mentioned new music.

Phil talked about the history and current plans for Delta Deep, their current Sugar Shack tour, early shows with Def Leppard, possibly new music from Manraze, the ongoing plans for another release by the Cybernauts, producing Tesla, working out and being healthy on the road, his guitar equipment and advice for young musicians.

Phil said that Manraze have plans to release an album - without giving any details. He also mentioned the ongoing plans for another Cybernauts release.

This was last mentioned in December 2015 during a UK interview.

The second Manraze album punkfunkrootsrock was released in August 2011 with only one live show played in support of it.

Downtown Magazine NYC - Phil Collen Interview Quotes

Manraze/Cybernauts New Music Plans/Tesla

"All the above. Man Raze, we’re looking at releasing an album. I’m doing the new Tesla album, producing that. That’s underway at the moment. As for the Cybernauts, we’ve been promising that for years. We’ve actually pretty much got all the songs. We’ve got to record three more. We’ve got some bass tracks from Trevor Bolder, who passed away. Woody Woodsmansey is going to play drums. I’m going to play guitar and Joe [Elliott] has already done some acoustics and vocals, so it’s just a matter of us getting the time."

New York Pyromania Show With Def Leppard

"It would have been opening up for Billy Squire during the Pyromania tour, which was 1983. In the city I think we played surrounding areas like Jersey and Nassau Coliseum and stuff like that. I remember jamming in a club in the Village and Michael Bolton was singing. He was a rock singer back then, so we were jamming. That’s one of my first “in the city” kind of experiences."
