Phil Collen Talks About Working With Robert DeLeo In Delta Deep

Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen has been interviewed by Greg Prato about working with Robert DeLeo in his side band Delta Deep.

Phil talked about how he came to meet and work with Robert in Delta Deep and his love of Robert's other band Stone Temple Pilots. Both Joe and Sav have also expressed their love of STP's music in interviews over the years.

STP recently announced that they are searching for a new singer with audio submissions being accepted on their official website until early March.

The band also featuring singer Debbie Blackwell-Cook and drummer Forrest Robinson recently announced more shows for their ongoing Sugar Shack tour on the US East Coast.

Their only previous East Coast show was in New York on 11th September 2015 featuring Phil and Debbi.

"And I loved Robert’s songwriting, as well, which is another thing that hopefully we’ll get to do on the next Delta Deep album – we’ve got a bunch of stuff written already, but we haven’t written anything together. So that’s going to be a blast."

"I love the ‘Purple’ album. I think that’s just great. Obviously, “Interstate Love Song” is such a great song. But even when I first heard them, when I heard “Sex Type Thing” and “Wicked Garden,” I just loved the vibe of it, it was just amazing. All the way up the last album, actually. Even stuff like “Sour Girl."
