Phil Collen Writing More Music For Next Tesla Studio Album

Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen is working on more new songs with Tesla according to their lead singer Jeff Keith.

Jeff spoke to Examiner about Tesla's longevity and new music which is being worked on at the moment.

He said Phil is now writing more songs with the band and the planned single may be included along with these songs on the next Tesla studio album.

Their last album called 'Simplicity' was released in June 2014.

Phil said in January that the single he co-wrote and produced for the band would be released in the summer.

Jeff lead vocals on sang 'Rock Of Ages' and 'Photograph' at the Sunrise, FL concert on 29th January when Joe couldn't finish the show on his own due to his severe laryngitis.

Tesla will continue supporting Def Leppard on their rescheduled shows in May and from June to October on the upcoming summer tour. REO Speedwagon look set to be the special guests on the tour in place of Styx.

Details and all dates for the summer tour are due to be confirmed and announced in early March.

Tesla are currently playing their own headline tour in the USA. They plan to release a live version of their debut album 'Mechanical Resonance' later this year to celebrate its 30th anniversary.

So now I think what we're doing now is we're putting some songs together, he's coming in later on this week and he has a couple ideas to put together. It's a long road to putting a record together, but right now we're just working on some songs and hopefully it'll come out to be a full-blown record and everybody will like it."
