Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott paid tribute to singer Lynsey de Paul on his Planet Rock radio show last night.
Joe mentioned her death at the end of his show and dedicated the last song by Mott The Hoople to her memory.
Lynsey passed away last week aged 64 after a suspected brain haemorrhage.
The Joe Elliott Show - 4th October 2014 Quote
"However I'm gonna leave you on a rather sad note. I'm playing this song in memory of a wonderful lady called Lynsey de Paul who passed away at the very tender age of 64 this week. She in her on right she was a fantastic singer and songwriter. But she did a cameo appearance on this next song and is renowned to have given the guitarist Luther Grosvenor his stage name when he joined the band to become Ariel Bender. From the album The Hoople this is Mott The Hoople and Roll Away The Stone. Until next week see ya!."
