Ricky Warwick has talked about supporting Def Leppard on the 2002/2003 X world tour in a new interview promoting Black Star Riders.

Ricky supported the band during the 2002/2003 X/Ten Tour for well over 100 shows. The support slot covered Japan, USA/Canada, UK, Ireland and many European countries from November 2002 to November 2003.

He went on to support the band again in 2005 and 2007. Joe is set to produce the second album by Black Star Riders in October and Ricky's two new solo albums.

For most of the 2003 shows Vivian Campbell joined Ricky to play some songs including 'Three Sides To Every Story' from the Joe Elliott co-produced album 'Tattoos And Alibis'. Watch a video below of Joe guesting on this song five years ago in Dublin as posted by Steve.

Oregon Music News - Ricky Warwick Interview Quotes

"I spent a year and a half on the road with those guys. We toured all over the world including North America. They were just phenomenal to me. It was just me an acoustic guitar. That was on their X tour in 2002."

"Oh you could just hear the groans from the crowd as I walked on stage with my acoustic guitar! [laughs] Here we go another singer/songwriter! [laughs] Listen, anyone that knows me knows that I知 a diehard rocker. I took the stage with my guitar slung low and I beat the hell out of the guitar. I知 there to entertain, I want to entertain; I知 not there to wallow in self pity and stuff like that. I have a fantastic life and a fantastic job. I知 very lucky. When I知 on stage I want to enjoy myself and I want those who came out to see the show to enjoy themselves as well. The [Def] Leppard fans were truly great to me and accepted me; it was one of the best experiences of my life."
