Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen is currently in Paris, France and will undergo his hand surgery tomorrow.

As reported a couple of months ago Phil injured his hand just before the Summer Tour 2013. He recently explained that he needs the surgery to repair damage to one of his fingers and he won't be able to play guitar for up to three months afterwards.

Phil's most recent live performance was at a Yukiko Matsuyama concert in La Verne, California on 17th August where he also performed with Debbi Blackwell-Cook. He later told a journalist that they plan to record together in the near future.

Phil's injury could have contributed to the apparent delay in new material from Manraze. Phil had said in May that a "few new songs" would be out "later this year". This followed on from comments in February that they were re-working an old song and writing some new songs.
