Green Bay, WI - Fan Reviews

Fan Review - By Adam

Def Leppard's tour stop at the brand new Resch center, their first gig in Green Bay since their two night stand in 1992 on the Adrenalize tour, was definitely an impressive feat for a band who've been together in various lineups for twenty years. Following opening act Ricky Warwick, the Leps opened their set with 'Let It Go', and continued with a solid two hours of classic hits and new material from their current album, "X". To be completely honest, the "X" album is my least favorite Def Leppard album, but thankfully their setlist focused on playing the classics.

Highlights of the performance included a guitar "battle" between Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell during an extended version of 'Rocket', Joe's reaction to a very large bra tossed on stage ("I'll keep this one to carry my luggage in for the rest of the tour"), and killer renditions of the classic barnburners 'Pour Some Sugar On Me', 'Promises', 'Animal', 'Rock of Ages,' and 'Let's Get Rocked'. My one complaint though was that not enough songs from "Adrenalize" were played, as it is my favorite Def Leppard album. But it is a minor complaint, since not many groups who've been around as long as the Leps have can still rock as well as they do.

This was my first time seeing Def Leppard and it was sure worth the wait. Folks, if you're planning on attending one or more shows on this tour, you're definitely in for a real treat. And if you haven't bought your ticket yet, what are you waiting for?.
