Boston, MA - Media Reviews

Feeling lazy... and the week's late By Stephen Lin

Dude. I totally was planning on writing an elaborate review of the Def Leppard concert I happened into last week (FleetBoston Pavilion), but I'm tired and the week is late already. So, I'm going to condense this into one of my not so famous quickie top ten highlight reviews.

The Boston Metro had a blurb in that day's paper that read: "What has nine arms and rocks?" Ouch... is that P.C.?

Our pals picked up the tix at six bucks a pop on eBay (thanks Amy and Andrew!). Now, what does it say about a show when the beers cost more than the tickets. They played three-quarters of Hysteria, half of Pyromania, and about five other songs, of which I only recognized "Two Steps Behind." That kind of scares me that I recognized that much.

Before I forget, I would like to mention that Def Leppard really actually sounded great. But then again, they should sound tight after 20 years together.

Apparently, young groupie sluts from the 80s turn into old groupie sluts in their 40s. There realistically was no one there under the age of 25.

Is it embarrassing to run into people you know at a Def Leppard concert? And if so, who should be more embarrassed: the runners into or the ran into?

One word: mullets.

Two words: leather vests.

The crowd when absolutely ape-shit when Def Lep broke out in "Pour Some Sugar On Me." Come to think of it, all four of us went ape-shit, too... damn, that song still rocks!

Quite possibly the best part of the night was watching the girl in front of us flipping her frizzy hair and dancing on her chair like she was trapped in a hair-band video from the 80s. Classic.
