Def Leppard Kemper Arena By Independence Examiner

It took the audience a while to get into the set of unfamiliar songs, but when Elliott belted out 'Animal', the group's latest single, the temperature suddenly rose at Kemper.

By the time Leppard did a series of hits like 'Too Late For Love', 'Bringin' On The Heartbreak' and 'Foolin''.

It was difficult to tell who was having more fun - the band or the appreciative audience.

The band's anthem 'Rock Of Ages' was a special highlight as Elliott, wearing a Leppard tank top and tattered jeans, strode to each side of the stage encouraging the audience to answer his 'What do you want? with a hearty 'I want rock and roll''.

The first encore, 'Photograph' featured a laser image on two screens of Marilyn Monroe as Elliott sang about a doomed love affair that ends tragically.

The final encore was a lot of fun as Elliott and the boys in the band rushed toward each side of the stage performing John Fogerty's 'Travellin' Band'.

Like an old friend who has been gone too long, It's great to welcome Def Leppard back.

They're better than ever, just ask anyone who attended this special welcome-back party.
