Def Leppard closed the Download Festival 2009 with a headline performance last night. The band returned to the scene of their 1986 show, Rick Allen's first UK appearance after his accident, and blew away the crowd of up to 70,000 classic rock fans. Joe and Phil were interviewed on the pre show webcast and both spoke of their excitement at the return to Donington. Two songs were streamed live from the show: 'Action' and 'C'mon C'mon'. Sadly the rest of the set was not shown. The show was similar to the Dublin O2 gig with 'Too Late For Love' making it's return to a UK setlist for the first time since Manchester 2003. Highlights are due to be broadcast on BBC Radio 1's Rock Show and VH1 Classic. Follow the link below for the details. Press links page and media coverage to be updated in the coming days. Joe has stated to UK media that the US tour will grow to up to 57 shows and they will end in Canada during Sep/Oct.
