Local papers have announced Def Leppard will play in Halden, Norway next summer. The band are due to appear at Fredriksten Festning (Fredriksten Fortress) on 24th May 2008. Show Details Date - Fri 23rd May 2008 Location - Halden, Norway. Venue - Fredriksten Fortress. This news ties in with mentions of a second show in recent stories regarding the May 21st Sandnes appearance. This new outdoor show is due to take place at an historic 17th century outdoor fortress atop a hill overlooking the town of Halden. This will be another first time visit alongside the Sandnes show with all previous Norwegian shows (1988-1996) taking place in the capital city of Oslo. The band played two Norwegian shows in 1988 and two on the Adrenalize tour in 1992 (club show) and 1993. News Translation sent in by Knut (Many Thanks). Def Leppard Hits Halden Saturday May 24th, Def Leppard hits the stage at Fredriksten Festning. (Fredriksten Fortress.) This will be the biggest thing to hit Halden concertwise. Def Leppard have sold over 70 million records since they first started out in 1977, says promoter Geir Andersen of Team Halden - Cooperating with the Rocksport Booking Agency and financer Kim Terje Olsen, Team Halden has signed a deal with Def Leppard. The British band comes to Halden as part of their European Tour."
