Def Leppard lead singer Joe Elliott has stated that the band will tour in summer 2009. This news was first mentioned in May 2008 on UK radio. Joe recently conducted radio interviews from Dublin with various US radio stations including WQUT in which he specifically mentioned returning to the road next summer and working on new songs.

"Well I get itchy feet, right now I'm glad I'm not doing any singing for a while, it's just nice to actually not have to wake up thinking OK I've gotta go through this whole routine again of getting ready for tonight. In fact I'm on holiday now, it's like total relaxation but give myself about three weeks and I shall be picking up the guitar and picking up the pen and paper cause I've got things milling around in my head for the next record - as have everybody in this band - we'll get itchy, you know. And sometime between now and when we come back out on the road we'll start writing some songs and we'll just get back into the old routine which by then will be the new routine and it'll all be good.

We've been out since March and it is time for a break there's no doubt. But you know come summertime, 'hopefully' we're gonna be back round again. Still working this record cause you know we really believe in it and C'mon C'mon's doing OK for us right now."
