Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen played drums during Billy Idol's opening set in Ottawa, Canada. He joined in during the classic song 'White Wedding'. Accompanying Billy's regular drummer Brian Tichy by sitting on his right playing floor toms and cymbals. The song starts out with Billy singing and Steve Stevens on acoustic guitar before kicking into electric mode at around 1:50 - see video below, where Billy introduces Rick and thanks him at the end:
Billy (3:39) - "Hey Rick Allen's on the drums back there."
Billy (at the end) - "It's Rick Allen playing the drums on White Wedding!."
Rick - "Cheers mate, thankyou."
