Def Leppard are very likely to announce shows in Japan with Whitesnake soon. According to one of Japan's leading DJs/TV presenters Masa Ito, who previously interviewed Joe on his "Rock City" show in 2002. Details have now emerged from local press:

10th May - New Show Details from Japanese Press

Date - Thur 23rd October 2008
Location - Tokyo, JAPAN
Venue - Budokan/Martial Arts Mansion.
Doors - 6pm.
Show - 7pm.

Japanese Leppard Fan Sammi's Translation

"It's been 6 years since Def Leppard's last visit to Japan, and 3 years since Whitesnake's. It'll be Def Leppard's 7th and Whitesnake's 10th visit to Japan. The promoter will be UDO 03-3402-5999. Tickets will go on sale on May 31. There are plans for additional dates in other cities outside Tokyo."

More info to follow. These will be the band's first shows at the venue since June 1996.

Japanese Leppard Fan Sammi's Email Quote

"A famous Japanese Rock Radio DJ, Masa Ito announced that Def Leppard tour in Japan in October. DJ, Masa Ito has a show called "Power Rock Today", and apparently, it was announced on his May 3rd show. Def Leppard will be touring Japan with Whitesnake."

Local press in India have mentioned the rescheduled concerts from May will be happening in mid October. New Zealand press recently stated shows there are also likely. Any announced dates will be added here. Whitesnake have already toured Aus/NZ in March 2008 (in small theatres).

The US summer tour has been updated with support act info including Billy Idol replacing STYX/REO on most dates. Vivian also mentioned South America on a BBC show (May 9th).
