Amateur tour video by then tour manager Ian Jeffery (pictured above in 1988) who was replaced on the next tour by Malvin Mortimer (Steve's tech on this tour). All filmed by Ian on his own camcorder during the final 2 months of the tour on the outdoor leg and last run of In The Round shows. Many tapers/traders already have this: these are the best bits, no need to buy dodgy DVDs on eBay.

Part 1 - Soundcheck #1 Mountain View



Starts with the soundcheck at the Mountain View show from Wed 17th August 1988. Featuring Die Hard The Hunter, Robert Scovill at the mixing desk & Joe's Hysteria pants... This show was filmed from the video screen footage for one of the better Hysteria audience videos. You will notice Rick is now using a DDrum kit with circular drum pads and a small electronic bass drum pad only as big as the pedal. Different to the kit used up to the end of the European tour.

Part 2 - Hys-Touria #1 Plane/San Francisco Bay



Joe (+ Karla)/Sav/Phil/Steve on the plane listening to music (Bad Company)/talking to crew members. Take off of plane filmed and flight over San Francisco Bay area/Alcatraz on way to Irvine. (split into two files).

Part 3 - Soundcheck #2 Irvine



Limo arrives at Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre (features Joe + Karla)/Soundcheck for the 19th Aug 1988 show featuring Sav and his tech David 'Vid' Sutherland.

Part 4 - Lep-Copter Arizona "Cardinals!"



Helicopter to venue/over Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, AZ. Arizona Cardinals American football game. Helicopter circles over Compton Terrace in Phoenix (Sun 21st Aug 1988). Europe's stage backdrop is up. Band comment on waterlogging in lawn section. Last show of the outdoor amphitheatre leg.

Part 5 - Detroit MI "It's Wee Wee Time!"



Detroit (Palace Of Auburn Hills 17 or 18th Sep 1988) before gig starts with curtain up (AC/DC 'Shoot To Thrill' playing). Joe/Phil/Sav backstage/Sav caught drinking. Footage of Joe's intro of Rick and half of PSSOM & ROA sing-a-long clips. (spilt into 3 files).

Part 6 - Soundcheck #3 "Chef Leppard!"



Night time plane landing (cut out, no band footage). Limo from airport. Travel to Charlotte Coliseum (Wed 5th Oct 1988). Band backstage/jokes/Joe playing guitar. Sav drinking. Soundcheck featuring Hysteria/Phil (Side Phil) Wilkey at monitor desk by stage/Robert Scovill at mixing desk/Malvin. Crew eating, Charlie Hernandez (Production Manager). Chef Leppard. Crew member working (split into 4 files).

Part 7 - Charlotte NC #2 "Oh f**k off Ian!"



Backstage full band and lighting designer Phay McMahon. Joe tells joke/T-Shirt talk. Joe singing along to "Women" in dressing room. Phil/Sav, Joe/Steve getting into laundry baskets (Rick walked in disguise). (split into 3 files)

Part 8 - Charlotte NC #3 "Love Bites!"



Charlotte Rock Of Ages sing-a-long clips filmed from next to/under stage, end of ROA waving to crowd/Joe goes under the stage/Love Bites encore, Steve playing a Fender Strat, ROA Club contest with crew member Eddie and pilot Steve and some women (cut out). Just 2 days before the 3 nights of filming in Atlanta for ITR-IYF. Note: The Charlotte Coliseum was demolished in June 2007.

Part 9 - Salt Lake City "F**kin' Useless!"



Hotel in Salt Lake City looking at the Salt Palace venue across the street (2 shows played: 22/23 Oct 1988). Airport before last flight to Portland for two Portland gigs & the final show in Tacoma. Talk to pilot Steve & Charlie Hernandez. Film out takes for the video. Ross Halfin takes photos of the band by the plane. He is heard asking Ian to move out of the way.

Part 10 - Tacoma Dome/Last Show



Tacoma Dome soundcheck Thur 27th Oct 1988. Crew talking/sound engineer Robert Scovill at desk/Die Hard The Hunter - Steve's last soundcheck/Last gig & largest indoor attendance of the whole tour.
