Def Leppard guitarist Steve Clark joined the band in 1978 and was a major influence on their sound with his distinctive and inventive guitar riffs and songwriting skills. He played on the first 4 studio albums including 'Pyromania' & 'Hysteria'. Tragically he died aged just 30 years in January 1991 whilst living in the Chelsea area of London. His songs continue to make up the majority of the bands live show to this day, a mark of his influence.
