25 Years Ago DEF LEPPARD's SLANG Album Enters UK Chart At #5

Def Leppard's sixth studio album Slang entered the UK album chart at Number Five on this day in 1996 in the UK.

The album had been released on 13th May 1996 following on from the title track which had been issued as the lead single on 22nd April.

The single got to Number 17 on the singles chart on 11th May.

The album entered the chart at Number 5.

The 'Slang' single was at Number 47 on the same day.

This was the band's fifth Top 5 (or 6) album in a row (Retro-Active was #6 in 1993).
