Def Leppard bassist Rick Savage has opened a new art gallery in Sheffield this evening. Rick was the VIP guest at the opening of artist Peter Hill's new gallery located on Ecclesall Road in Def Leppard's home city.

"DEF Leppard bassist Rick Savage enjoyed a sneak preview of a new £500,000 art gallery in Sheffield.

The Sheffield rock star visited Sheffield artist Peter Hill's new gallery on Ecclesall Road and is to carry out the official opening at a VIP party tonight.

Rick said: "I think the paintings are great and very much in the vein of stuff I've already got hanging at my house."
