New Def Leppard Promo Pic

A new promo pic of Def Leppard, used on the cover of the new album 'Songs From The Sparkle Lounge', has now surfaced in it's full size.

Head shots from the pic by photographer Andrew MacPherson can be seen on the bottom of the new album cover amongst all the famous faces. Andrew previously photographed the band in 2006 for the YEAH! album promotion.

The pic was included in a new online interview with Vivian Campbell in which he shares these thoughts:

"Our audience is very diverse, We've noticed that in the last three or four years, there's a young audience that's come to our shows," he says. "That's the plus of downloading music, is that it gets young people listening."

"Success is a double-edged sword," he says. "The public wants to hear what they want to hear, and they want to hear the hits, and we're very fortunate that we have a truckload of hits. That's just what the audience seems to want, even when they're young."

"We tried to bend over backward, and (the industry) basically pulled the rug out from under us," Campbell says. "Having said that, you do have to balance that with the fact that you do want to hold people's interest. If you go on some jazz rock odyssey, you're likely to lose your audience."

"We didn't really make this record for anyone other than ourselves," Campbell says. "I think that's been a problem in the past."

"We always give what we give because we're always professional in what we do. It would be great to tour with a younger band that's more cutting edge, but I don't think it would be doing our audience a favor."
