Def Leppard won the Legends Award at last nights Metal Hammer Golden Gods 2009 awards ceremony. The band were not in attendance as they were flying to Nashville for tonights CMT Awards, where they are due to perform with Taylor Swift. And then start their very Pyromania-themed US tour in Camden, New Jersey next week.

The show took place at IndigoO2 venue within the O2 arena complex in London. Others winners included Iron Maiden and Slipknot. The Download Festival won Event Of The Year.
