Def Leppard's crew recently paid a visit to Manchester's Harley-Davidson showroom whilst playing in the city. The band played the M.E.N. Arena on June 20th during the first leg of their 2008 UK tour. Workers at the showroom were given free tickets and backstage passes for the show by Leppard roadies. Pictured with Joe below.

Harley Rocks With Leppard:
Staff at Manchester Harley-Davidson got more than they bargained for when rock band Def Leppard paid a visit to the Stockport showroom recently.
Paul Donohue, Bike Sales Manager and MotorClothes Sales Advisors Jackie Lythe and Jayne Powers couldn't contain their excitement when two members of the band's road crew approached the sales desk, and offered them free tickets to one of their concerts... in return for a discount on Harley-Davidson Genuine Parts and Accessories!
Def Leppard formed in Sheffield in 1977 and grew to be one of the world's top-selling rock bands throughout the 1980s, selling more than 65 million albums including 35 million in the USA. The five-piece band were visiting Manchester as part of an eight-month world tour, which also sees them perform in America, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
While at the dealership, the crew picked out eight Manchester Harley-Davidson T-shirts for the rest of the band. In return, Jackie was given seven free tickets to see the group perform live at Manchester's M.E.N Arena on 20 June. She was also given access to the backstage area where she and her friends met lead singer and self-confessed Harley-Davidson enthusiast Joe Elliot.
"I was so surprised when Def Leppard's roadies walked into the showroom," enthuses Jackie. "My brother loves the band and I had been planning to take him to a concert, but hadn't been able to get hold of any tickets. It was a purely chance, but very lucky meeting!
"We were totally star-struck when we met Joe after the gig, but he was a really down-to-earth character with a great sense of humour. To thank him for his hospitality, we left him some more Manchester Harley-Davidson branded merchandise including jackets and shirts, and a skull clock. It was definitely a night to remember and one we will never forget!"
