Richard Hammond's Lonely Hearts Club Band

Top Gear Blog 2008.

The official Top Gear blog has updated with an entry about Richard Hammond's inclusion on the new Def Leppard album cover. No name is attached to the entry although it sounds very (Jeremy) Clarkson-like. His fellow presenter on the show.

Blog Entry:

"It's official. Hammond is a pop icon.

Well, sort of. Richard has been immortalized alongside, erm, the Statue of Liberty and a panda bear on the cover of the new Def Leppard album.

He's there, honest. Down in the bottom right hand corner above the crash test dummy.

The 'Songs from the Sparkle Lounge' cover is a send-up of the obscure 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' album by little-known Scouse band 'The Beatles', and includes a handful of sort-of-famous people alongside photos of the band members and their family.

All of which begs a rather big question: is Hammond now bigger than Jesus?"
