Started out in the Sex Pistols from 1975-1978. They only released one proper album 'Never Mind The Bollocks, Here's The Sex Pistols' in Oct 1977. Another album was released as a soundtrack to a movie in 1979 'The Great Rock n Roll Swindle' it did not feature Johnny Rotten and was not really the same band. After their 1996 reunion 'Filthy Lucre' tour the band issued a live album. They have since gotten together in 2002/03 for a few shows and a small US tour.

From 1980 to 1982 Paul played drums in a band called The Professionals with Steve Jones: lead vocals/guitars. Andy Allen: bass. They released one album called 'I Didn't See It Coming' in Nov 1981. They survived a head-on car crash in Minneapolis that same month. After they split in 1982 he helped UK pop band Bananarama get started. He then formed a band called The Chiefs Of Relief who put out singles in 1985, 1987 and an album in 1988. They split by 1990 and since Paul only did guest work between Sex Pistols tours.

Played as a guest with Steve Jones on: Dave Goodman & Friends (single), Johnny Thunders (1 album), Sham 69 (live album), The Greedies (Xmas single in 1979), Joan Jett (2 songs), Lightning Raiders, Patti Palladin (1 song).
Also played drums as a guest with The Physicals (played on/produced a single), Bananarama (produced/played on a single), Vic Godard (drums, producer, b. vocals), Edwyn Collins (3 albums) also touring with him and played on his big hit "A Girl Like You".

In late 2007, to coincide with the 30th anniversary of their "Never Mind The Bollocks" album, the Sex Pistols reunited to play a UK tour. Paul is back playing the drums for the band and they are continuing to play shows in summer 2008 and considering recording new material.
