[April 4th] - New Pics/Paul Cook

Ross Halfin has now added some of the pics he shot of Man-Raze a few weeks ago. They now have their own page at his site which includes 10 new shots as well as the 6 live pics from The Spitz show that were previously on his dairy pages.

In other news Paul Cook (along with Sex Pistols mate Steve Jones) has been recording tracks for Ian Brown's new solo album. They have contributed to three songs on the ex-Stone Roses frontman's forthcoming album.

[March 29th] - It Makes My sKiN cRAwL

OK another 'video', such as they are. This time another song featuring the voice of Phil Collen. Some of the same pictures but slightly different to before. Still getting the hang of this slideshow stuff.

Oh and the main page was re-done again.

PS. Word is that MR's official site will be relaunched in the next few weeks - 'seems' that will be at the same time as album/tour news.

[March 14th] - Cos You're Runnin' Me Up

If (like me) you loved the "Runnin' Me Up (Instrumental Dub)" and thought it would be cool to hear what Phil's vocals for that song would be like...well now you can - get an 'idea'. And watch something while you do. Follow the first link.

Simon's brother Gerry Laffy has updated his (very well run) myspace pages with some good stuff. Firstly a 3 pic collage from the Spitz show on the Girl page. I was standing just out of shot in the first pic on the left in front of Phil. Gives you an idea of how small the show was. As Gerry says it was over too soon. An exert from his quote:

"I think 2007 may be a really good year for these guys, rock on boyz..."

Along with the timely adding of the pics - a positive sign?. I think so.

On his own myspace blog Gerry has added a new interview in which he mentions Phil/Girl/MR and Leppard quite a lot. Among other interesting bits is this quote about how he almost became the new Lep guitarist in 1992:

"Phil wanted to continue as a 4 piece after Steve died, When they decided it had to be a twin guitar thing he asked me to learn 5 songs and fly to LA as it was either gonna be me or Vivian. I had an act of god strike when I put a garbage bag out and a broken bottle gave me 5 stitches in my left index finger, not a good omen I thought, Actually I was at Phil's Apt in Paris learning the songs when I found out that Vivian was there in LA already playing with them. Also I had recently signed another management contract with Russell Mulcahy so I decided not to get on the plane,".

[March 8th] - An Update From Ross-Again

Cool news - closer to a release?.

"March 6 - Up at 6am - off to shoot the Man Razes this morning...
Had a good session with Phil Collen's other band, Man-Raze. I was a bit slow, had a huge attack of jet lag. Managed to get going though. Nice to see Simon Laffy and Paul Cook.
Phil Collen called to say he loves the photos from today, and you know, it's good to hear that."

'look' - 'listen' out for more MR stuff here soon.

[February 15th] - New Look/Rehearsal Video

The front page of the Man-Raze section has a new look in anticipation of (hopefully) some new music/live shows in the following weeks/months.
I've also added a rehearsal video that Phil Collen sent in with those first rehearsal pics in February 2005, yes it's been that long. It wasn't added before due to issues with adding quicktime video onto the site. And now I've got a new YT account and gotten over the shock of the email itself ("Hi Darren, it's Phil Collen"....wtf?!...) here it is. Actually I was waiting for the album news to add it, which shouldn't be too far off now.

The three Spitz show galleries have also been redone from the originals & cleaned up.
A (small) taste of things to follow & thanks again to Phil for the video/pics (see Gallery 1).

[February 6th] - An Update From Ross

Good news from everyone's favourite gossip columnist, Ross Halfin, he mentions Phil having been in London recently working on the debut album release (& hopefully scheduling a few UK shows).

"Back home Phil Collen called. Talked to Phil for an hour - We are arranging a Man Raze's shoot in the near future as the album is done..."

[January 1st 2007] - An Update From London

The band gave a message to fans just before Christmas via the blog at their Official (not dodgy) MySpace site. Which seems to hint at the label/release problems mentioned to fans by Phil during the Lep tour in 2006. And also gives more hope of an actual album release and some touring in 2007.

Exert - "Without going into the whys and wherefores, suffice to say that we are very much looking forward to getting out to you guys on record and on stage in 2007."
