Tue 3rd June 2008 - Album Release Day
[Event Notes] - An online chat on AIM organised by the Man Raze Street Team. Phil Collen, Paul Cook and Simon Laffy participated in the evening UK time. Simon in London, Phil in Helsinki, Paul in Los Angeles. Simon apparently stayed in for hours late into the night with the US fans.
Brief Highlights ::
Paul Cook - We're well pleased with it ourselves too.
Paul Cook - I like a lot of songs on it my favourite at the moment is Can't Find My Own Way.
Paul Cook - (asked about touring) We're planning on September to get things rolling.
Paul Cook - All depends on how the CD sells I guess
Paul Cook - We're really positive about it so far the feedback has been great
Phil Collen - I just arrived in Finland - exhausted. Just left CA yesterday.
manrazeuk - Phil awesome show in Islington - Wasted rocked.
Phil Collen - Yeah, I loved Islington.
Phil Collen - We're trying to get some US dates for September?.
Phil Collen - I like running me up at the moment.
Phil Collen - (Asked about name) Simon didn't like Fay Wrays so we changed it.
Phil Collen - We had a lot more fire after we played our one show and the songs felt different.
Phil Collen - (Album title) Paul came up with the title.
Phil Collen - (Def Leppard tour) Tour's open ended. We are doing OZ and we are doing Canada.
Phil Collen - (Songs) It's cool everyone has different favourites.
Phil Collen - (Finland question) Almost 8pm and the sun is way up still.
Phil Collen - (Gym question) Yeah, I'm going to the workout room after I get off.
Phil Collen - (Asked about his son Rory) He's great I saw him yesterday. 18 wow. Keeps me young.
Phil Collen - (Kickboxing - how long? which type he prefers?) 4 years Muay Thai and 4 American kickboxing. Thai.

Simon Laffy - (Uk release?) UK release: working hard on the distribution side...that's the hold up.
Simon Laffy - Hopefully in a few weeks for the rest of the world, tho...
Simon Laffy - (tour?) OK, tour-wise we're planning something for Sept. Nothing firm yet - but maybe things like the bunranl. Ooops, meant the Burbank secret gig..
Simon Laffy - We need to figure things out - but I prefer favouring our loyal fans... I'd be happy to play Street team only gigs to start with...

manrazeuk - Phil told a great story about you guys in Japan. Gerry got his 'thing' out on a table during a photo shoot. Phil was later in Japan with Leppard. He saw a magazine pic of Girl and there it was in the shot - no one had noticed.

Simon Laffy - (Live shows) OK, the simple thing is... if we can show the strength of our fans, promoters will book us... We (me included) need to help Anne to grow the Street team... then the gigs will come :)
Simon Laffy - (Asked about artwork-the same guy who did the Sparkle Lounge cover) Thx, mswells - that's a very talented Rich at Alias Designs... he concieved the artwork, website etc... we're planning some onstage projections, as well. [Richard Proctor - also worked with the Cybernauts.]
Simon Laffy - (US fans talked of lack of Surreal CD in some stores) OK, I'll feed this back to our mgmt - get them to kick some VH1 butt!
manrazeuk - Simon did those World Cup tracks with Phil get released anywhere?
Simon Laffy - ESPN used them, D... for the 2006 World Cup...
