Voice Over Intro

"His career is celebrated with Induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame as lead singer for Def Leppard. Joe Elliott. Now he's sharing his passion for deep classic rock with stories and music from his personal collection. Welcome to Joe Elliott's Songs From The Vault on Deep Tracks."

Show Intro

"Greetings my fellow music lovers and welcome once again to Songs From The Vault right here on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks. I'm Joe Elliott and for the next hour or so I'm gonna take you on a little musical journey through the caves and the mazes of my brain and play you some stuff that's influenced me over the years. Some old, some not so old and some pretty brand new. Like this one with more than just a little help from Dave Grohl this is Mick Jagger."

Mick Jagger

"And before that we heard Mick Jagger featuring Dave Grohl whose already in the hall of fame with Nirvana. He's about to be inducted for the second time with the Foo Fighters. But there he is with Mick Jagger on a fantastic post lockdown tune called Eazy Sleazy."

Roxy Music

"As you will hear throughout the show there's gonna be a bit of a nod towards the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame here and there. Past inductees, current nominees. One of each we just heard. Roxy Music inducted in 2019 alongside Def Leppard. From their second album 1973's For Your Pleasure we heard a fantastic bit of work called Do The Strand."

Nazz

"This is Songs From The Vault on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks. I'm Joe Elliott and I'd just like to take this opportunity to say to Todd Rundgren at last, you're in. Congratulations."

"And before that we heard from 1968 the Nazz featuring Todd Rundgren. That song sounds as frssh today as it all those years ago. Fantastic stuff. Once again congratulations to Todd Rundgren."

Ian Hunter

"Now there's a gentleman that should be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame as a solo artist and a member of that phenomenal band Mott The Hoople. That is Ian Hunter. Title track of his second solo album in 1976. It is All American Alien Boy."

Grand Funk Railroad

"I'm Joe Elliott. This is Songs From The Vault. You're listening to SiriusXM's Deep Tracks. And let's take that Todd Rundgren connection a little further. Here's a triple shot of Todd Rundgren produced artists. Starting off with Grand Funk Railroad."

"And before that even Grand Funk Railroad with the title track of their album We're An American Band."

New York Dolls

"Before that the New York Dolls from their very first album in 1973. the song Trash."

Voice Over

""He's a rock and roll hall of fame inductee curating some of the music that influenced his career. Joe Elliott's Songs From The Vault continues on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks."

The Tubes

"Stamping his mark of quality on various different artists throughout his career. That's just three examples of what Todd Rundgren is capable of doing when he's on that side of the microphone. In other words watching the artists do it from inside the glass bubble that is the control room. We just heard there TV Is King from 1979's Remote Control album by The Tubes which is a fantastic album."

Peter Gabriel

"You're listening to SiriusXM's Deep Tracks. This is Songs From The Vault. I'm Joe Elliott and here's a couple of artists that once worked together, but here they are in their own right. Starting off with Peter Gabriel. The song Modern Love. Let's not forget of course Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush did work together in the mid 80s on a fantastic tune called Don't Give Up."

"And before that Peter Gabriel from his first solo album Peter Gabriel. He had at least three, maybe four solo albums called Peter Gabriel. This is the one with the blue rainy car on the cover if you like. ."

Kate Bush

"What an absolutely incredible artist that lady is. That lady is Kate Bush. There from her album in 1982 I think it was The Dreaming. The song is Get Out Of My House. Very eccentric tune indeed."

Pat Travers

"I'm Joe Elliott. This is Songs From The Vault on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks. And now it's time for a bit of guitar hero worship. Starting off with Pat Travers."

"And before that we heard Pat Travers from his eponymously titled debut album with Medley Parts 1 & 2. Pat Travers an artist I discovered in 1976 when he was the special guest to a band called the Sensational Alex Harvey Band who played Sheffield City Hall when I was 16 years old and. And just a mere four years later Def Leppard would be opening for Pat Travers up and down the west coast of the USA on our first ever American tour. Fantastic stuff."

Coverdale/Page

"It does make you wonder doesn't it how many riffs on that album were left over Zeppelin ideas that never came to fruition because they split in 1980. And Jimmy Page probably still had a head full of riffs which he didn't get to use until 1992 when he put an album together with David Coverdale. And there from the Coverdale/Page album we just heard Easy Does It."

Show Outro

"Joe Elliott and you have been listening to Songs From The Vault right here on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks. And that my friends is about if for this particular show."

"It's been a real pleasure as always. I shall be back with you next time with how I like to say more of the same only just a little bit different. So until then let there be rock indeed. This to close the show out is AC/DC and Problem Child."

"Until next time stay safe."
