Show Intro

"Greetings one and all and welcome once again to, oh yes, The Joe Elliott Show right here on, oh yes, the wonderful Planet Rock. We've got sixty little minutes, one solid hour to play you some great stuff tonight. I've got some swag that Pi picked up at Record Store Day. I'ge got some brand new music and some world exclusive. Let's start off with one of the brand new omes. This is Motor Sister."

Motor Sister

"Featuring Pearla Day who happens to be the daughter of Meatloaf. Scott Ian once of Anthrax of course. And led by the incredible talent that is Mr. Jim Wilson. That is Motor Sister from a brand new album released just yesterday. it is called Get Off. The song we just heard is the opening track Can't Get High Enough."

Eddie Vedder

"OK so from absolutely brand new to only just released. This is the Earthling himself Mr. Eddie Vedder."

"And before that Eddie Vedder's new album Earthling. Not to be confused with David Bowie's 1997 album of the same title. But what a great album it is and what a song we just heard. The song is Power Of Right."

Ghost

"It really is a fantastic album Impera isn't it?. Yes, those of you that have heard it will agree with me. Those of you who haven't heard it yet. You really need to give it a listen. It is Ghost. Song we just heard there Watcher In The Sky."

White Lies

"We have a world exclusive coming up pretty soon. But for right now we're gonna stick to something that's been out just a couple of months. This is White Lies."

"And before that we heard White Lies. This album I just cannot stop playing. It's really really good. It's called As I Try Not To Fall Apart. The song that we just heard Blue Drift."

TV Smith/Richard Strange

"Well there's your world exclusive folks. That is TV Smith and Richard Strange together once again. Now you may remember TV Smith was the leader of that 70s punk band The Adverts. And Richard Strange was once Kidd Strange, who was the leader of the, what shall we call them?, the proto-punk, avant garde ensemble that was the Doctors Of Madness. But by trade he's also an actor. And he's got a play that will be on at the Courtyard Theatre starting in June. And it's called When You Wake You Will Remember Nothing. But until then we have their new album to look forward to. The track we just heard from the upcoming album is called A Dffrnt Wrld."

"You are listening to The Joe Elliott Show on the wonderful Planet Rock. Coming up, was it self prophecy. We'll find out after the break with David Bowie."

David Bowie

"And before that Slick's old boss David Bowie from 1999. Just himself and Mike Garson on the piano. It's a Record Store Day release called Brilliant Adventure. It's just an E.P. With a song that first featured in Bowie's set on the last ever Spiders From Mars tours. In fact I think he played it at the last ever Spiders gig at Hammersmith in 1973. It's very dark isn't it. It is My Death."

Earl Slick

"I've been meaning to play a track from that album forever, but I'm afraid I've only just got round to it now. It's been out about a year or so. It is Earl Slick once of David Bowie. Once of Ian Hunter. And also once of John Lennon. His most latest solo album Fistful Of Devils. The track Bad Brew."

Thin Lizzy

"Well after that sobering thought. How about some good old fashioned pillaging Celtic style. This is Thin Lizzy."

"And before that a song that Def Leppard used to play live long before we signed our record deal. Originally it featured on the 1976 album Jail Break. It is Thin Lizzy but it's the 2011 version remixed by yours truly and Def Leppard's sound guru Mr. Ronan McHugh. It is Emerald."

Slash/Myles Kennedy

"Well if like me you thought the intro sounded rather familiar to an old G N' R track, you'd be right. But it's OK because both licks were played by the same gentleman. And I'm sure it's OK to be influenced by yourself. Slash there featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators from his new album 4.With a great song called Fill My World."

Show Outro

"And that my friends is about it for this week. It's been a real pleasure as always. I shall be back with you next week at exactly the same time. So until then you know what not to do. Yes, do not touch that dial/ Do not go anywhere. Where else would you wanna be other than right here on Planet Rock."

"Let's go out on this one. Another bit of my swag from Record Store Day. This is called Out To Get Ya live from 1977. This is Cheap Trick with a fantastic live version of the song Clock Strikes Ten. Until next week see ya!."
